Unmet Goals

When our plans are taken off track, we do not often acknowledge God as the cause. God’s purpose for us, his direction, does not always line up with our desires. When we hold on too tightly to our plans, it is often crushing when they are not fulfilled. What seems to us as spiritual warfare, or an unfair God, is often God’s guidance. We should be fluid and accepting of the superior knowledge that God has of our skill set, insomuch that we are not disappointed when his plans differ from ours.

I want to start blogging again. I usually use the excuse that I don't have the time, so maybe my posts will be short.

  1. Thank you for sharing. It is true....we all do tend to think the way we want to go, just has to line up with the way God wants us to go. After-all our way is a good thing in most cases, so it must be cool with God :o) I recently had an experience where is, I lost a very good deal at work that I had been working on for 6 months. I lost it through no fault of mine, it was through some shifty practices by another in my profession. I was angry and couldn't figure out why God would allow that to happen to me, for this deal was going to put me at the top among my peers. Hard work pays off....right? I got angry and was in a foul mood for several hours, then it was as if God himself wrapped his arms lovingly around me and said, "don't you worry your pretty little head over this....I got this!" I instantly felt better and moved on. The very next day, I got 2 deals that combined made up for that one big deal, and then came the whip cream! I was walking past the reception phone as it was ringing. It was not my day to answer the phones, but the person who's day it was, asked me to get it since I was up. I rolled my eyes (in a joking manner) and answered the phone. Well, it was a great call and turned out to be a HUGE deal that was twice as much as the original deal I had lost. So, to sum it up, keep the faith, keep a good attitude, follow after God and He will give to you, pressed down, shaken and overflowing! :o) Love you bunches Hogey and I am looking forward to reading your blog posts.
